Just Me & My Bean Garden

Posted by Katie on Jun 02 2012 at 07:17 pm

Last night Miss Janet and I went to The Globe Theatre for the season finale show, The Buddy Holly Story.

Even now I absolutely cannot describe just how awesome it was!   There were times when I wanted to clap or bust a groove but I was so enthralled with everything that was going on around me!

…I may have also developed a teeny crush on Buddy Holly too

Thanks Janet for another theatre season, I can’t wait for the fall when our new season begins!

My day began with an early morning 10 km walk with Miss Janet!  After that I came home and ate breakfast with the greens.

In that beautiful bowl is Optimum Slim cereal, blubes, rasps, soy milk and dark chocolate peanut butter!

Then we spent time in the yard!

Jeff cut grass, I pulled weeds and played in my bean garden.

Lunch was a sunny egg on flax toast with romaine lettuce and salsa!  On the side was corn and cherries!

Drip drip drip…

And for dessert my hubby and I shared some fro yo…

The rest of our afternoon was spent potting geraniums, tomatoes and thyme!

Supper was bbq’d pizza!

It was the first time I’ve grilled pizza before and it was delicious!  We made bbq chicken pizza, ham and pineapple pizza and grilled veggie pizza!

I enjoyed a slice of each with OF COURSE some cherries for dessert!

Well now I’m off to fall asleep on the couch watch the hockey game with Jeff.

Happy Saturday!

I LOVE the breakfast shot…too cute! I’ve got beans too, but something is nibbling on the leaves! :(

I could say lots of things about this post, but I will keep it to these 3 words: AWESOME, DELICIOUS, AND RELAXING! Oh, how I love summer, healthy food, and weekends! Yay!

Ah, Buddy Holly. And oh, what a Globe season it was. Thanks for the great food, the great conversation and the great times. Your bean garden is adorable. And you’re going to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE those babies when you pick ‘em. Glad the BBQ pizzas worked out so well. They look delish!

THANK YOU! I value our globe nights dear friend! And our walks!

The BBQ pizzas were out of this world…The first one was the wildcard because I’d never done it before so it was a little burned on the bottom but the second and third were fantastic!
