If You Plant It, It Will Grow
Oh man.
Today was AWESOME.
My day began with breakfast which was similar to yesterday only I smooshed strawberries and blueberries this time! Oh so good!
Today was my last Saturday yoga class at the Y (just for the summer) BUT Allison is going to be teaching yoga out at the beach over the summer so I won’t have a chance to miss her
After yoga I did some running around and then it was home time to do some “nesting”!
On the docket was crispy rice squares with ALL NATURAL ingredients AND no marshmallows! HOLLA!
I’m terribly ashamed for just saying “holla”
And oat ‘n berry squares!
AND I got some kabobbage ready for dinner.
His and hers:
Jeff had to work today and being that I had yoga class I was his chauffeur
When we were BBQ’ing dinner tonight Jefferson looked at my face, started laughing and told me I had chocolate on my lip and forehead from the crispy rice squares. Things got wild in the Biss kitchen today folks!
Yes, I went out into public a few times today like this:
And speaking of BBQ-ing:
MY kabobs include eggplant, portabello mushroom, asparagus and orange pepper glazed with a mixture of olive oil, honey, lemon juice, dill and epicure’s herb & garlic dip mix! SO simple yet SO good!
I made myself a “sub” with some red pepper hummus, monteray jack cheese and dijon mustard. Mercy this was delicious!
While Jeff was grilling I puttered around our yard and looked at our gardens…HOLY SWEAR WORDS BATMAN WE HAVE GROWTH!
Sweet peas…
Green beans…
Purple beans…
Itty bitty baby carrots that just came out of nowhere!!!
Basil that came out of nowhere!!!
And dill that came out of nowhere!
We will have to thin out the beans and carrots because some are super close together but that’s just a learning thing for next year !
Still nothing on the oregano front…And the cukes are questionable as to whether or not the growth is weeds
BUT at the end of the day we’ve learned that if you plant it, it will grow.
Goodnight dear friends.

This whole post makes me so happy!
Those rice krispies look fantastic!
And I am SO EXCITED that your garden is growing! Just think how great it’s going to be to eat your first meal from the garden! Do you know what you want to make first? I bet bruschetta with tomatoes and basil would be amazing!!!
Me too!
The crispy rice squares really do rock…It’s incredible! It just floors me that there are no marshmallows involved!
You know, I have NO idea what I am going to make first…I DO know that if I get any butternut squash I will be making plenty of cinnamon buns this holiday season AND lots of mac and cheese and lasagna! I am also planning on making my own pickles (I am a pickle freak!). Bruschetta with tomatoes and basil WOULD be awesome!
