Third Time’s a Charm

Happy best day of the week everyone!

This week has been an awesome one so far!

The big highlight was the fact that Disney FINALLY announced the dates for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and it will be on when we are there in November!!!  This may not excite the general population(being that it’s MAY and all) but I have wanted to go to Disneyworld for what seems like EVER and I am, as you know, a Christmas NUT so this is a dream for me!

Naturally, I, being the nut-job that I am, was on the computer purchasing tickets faster than you can say Winnie the Pooh, Winnie the Pooh, chubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff!!

Moving on!

Another highlight of my week is making these babies AGAIN!

Yes folks, I made maple baked beans last week and was actually saddened when I ate the last of them on Monday.  And so, I decided I had to make more!  This time I used white beans AND black eyed peas.  DELICIOUS!

Another reason to celebrate is that today is the day Miss Janet and I are actually going to get to kick off our 10km walking season! We’ve been planning on it for the past 2 weeks but were rained (and winded) out both times.  Currently, it’s looking good!

Third time is a charm Miss Janet!

I started my day with Leslie Sansone’s 3 Fast Miles workout and then got breakfast ready!

Can you see the mountains of cinnamon? Delicious!

In the yellow polka dot bikini bowl is the usual suspects. Optimum Slim cereal, 1/2 of a banana, strawbes, cinnamon and soy milk!

If you haven’t figured it out already, I am a creature of habit and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

LUNCH was just absolutely amazing.

Guess the amount of fiber on this plate and I will give you a nickel ;)

A HUGE amount of the cruciferous, maple baked beans (oh how I love thee) and mango chunks.

Folks, I can die a happy woman.

….AFTER Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party that is ;)

What are YOU celebrating this week?

Oh wow…that IS pretty exciting! I’m celebrating the fact that on Saturday, I get to see my dear friend who lives in Alberta and I haven’t seen since her wedding 4 years ago in less than 48 hours!

  2. Natalie says:

    17 grams of fiber!!

That’s SO exciting :) Growing up, my dad worked for Disney, so I too am a Disney lover.

Ha being that you are the only one who guessed, YOU WIN!

I said to Jeff we should move to the states where he can work for Apple and I can work at Disney. One day…One day ;)

Well, you know how I love Disneyworld – we’ve been there twice! This week I’m celebrating a short work week. No work (at least paid work) for me today. In honour of your focus this month on asparagus, I made an Asparagus & Potato Egg Bake for lunch today. Delish! Thanks for a fabulous power walk last night!
