My Best Birthday Ever!

Posted by Katie on Dec 07 2011 at 05:58 am

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes!

Truth be told, this year was the first year in a long time that I actually embraced and truly appreciated the birthday wishes and let me tell you, it was wonderful!

My mom and dad sent me an edible arrangement which could NOT have come at a better time!  Jeff and I are carpooling and as such I had to go to Zumba as soon as Jeff picked me up.   That’s all fine and dandy BUT I forgot my pre workout snacks!!  Zumba is a tad too intense for me not to eat anything so I dug right in!  It looks like a lot of fruit but surprisingly, it really wasn’t!  I could have eaten the entire thing but I exercised some restraint and saved a bowl for tomorrow! ;)  Go me.

I didn’t have my camera so here’s what it looked like, courtesy of the Edible Arrangements website!  Click on the photo to be taken to the website!!

Looking for a gift to give someone that isn’t chock full of potential extra poundage?  I suggest an Edible Arrangement…Either from Edible Arrangements or maybe try your hand at a homemade one!  My Blog BFF Hilary could give you lots of great tips!  Hers are GORGEOUS and she’d LOVE to hear from you!!!

Thank you mom and dad!  You are the best!  I love you too!

SO!  What did I do on my birthday?

Sweat my bum cheeks off that’s what!  After work we headed out to the YMCA, I Zumba’d down with Suzie Q and Karen (and had SO much fun!), went and picked up my super special birthday supper, watched an episode of Last Man Standing and went to bed! It might have been RIDICULOUSLY early when I went to bed ;) As in, before 8 PM.

So what was my super special birthday supper?

If you guessed a 6 inch Veggie Delight on Honey Oat Subway sub, you would be correct!

My diet was lacking in the protein department yesterday and I can certainly feel it today.  One of the main functions of protein is to build and repair muscle tissue and after my Zumba escapades last night, I could definitely use some rebuilding and repairing!  Something to be mindful of!

And just to prove to you that I did indeed sweat my bum cheeks off:

Oh my goodness I was disgustingly sticky when Jeff took this photo.  Uncomfortable?  Very.

So that was my birthday in a nutshell.  Fruit was eaten, Zumba was Zumba’d, Veggie Delights were delighted in.

A Note to Year 26:
I’m Ready For You.
Bring it On.

Like my game face?

Happy Hump Day everyone!!  I hope yours was great!

Tonight I am lucky enough to get to see White Christmas (I love you Bing Crosby) on the BIG SCREEN with my lovely girlfriend Janet!   Can’t wait!

Have YOU ever given or received an Edible Arrangement?
