Fitness Trainers: I SALUTE YOU!

Happy Hump Day everyone!

Last night I attended a MIND BLOWING Zumba class!  It was out of this world!

Our Zumba teacher had to be the most outgoing individual I’ve ever met in my life.  She absolutely OOZED energy!  She was screaming, grooving and jumping off the walls!  I can only dream of having even an ounce of the energy she did!  I’ve never had so much fun in my life!

I went with my beautiful cousin-in-law, Karen, and by the end of the FIRST song we both looked at each other and said “Oh man I’m going to die” ;)

The music was fantastic, it was an incredible group of ladies in the class and we knew we were all there to accomplish one thing:  Work our butts off and have a load of fun while doing it!

I knew SOME of the steps from my previous Zumba classes I have attended but let me tell you, I was stumbling and doing the wrong steps the whole time!  I definitely looked like I wore my two LEFT feet to the class but it was awesome nonetheless!

I now have a new-found respect for fitness trainers.  To all of my fitness trainer readers (ahemm Annette and Natalie to name just a couple) THANK YOU for your commitment to us.  THANK YOU for the passion you bring to your classes.  THANK YOU for your encouragement.  Without AMAZING trainers like you, people such as myself would never think it is possible to push yourself to the limits and remain standing by the end of the workout.  You have such an amazing gift.  Thank you for sharing it with complete strangers…like me!

To all of you fitness trainers out there:  I SALUTE YOU!

This morning I woke up, considered sleeping in, then pictured a Leslie Sansone workout DVD that I really was in the mood to do and I promptly hobbled out of bed!

I really do enjoy starting my day with a sweat session, even if it’s a low impact, less intense workout!

After I was worked out and showered up I made myself a breakfast that I was craving since last night!

In the cute NEW bowl  (Jeff we are going to need a bigger house…Our bowl…Ok MY bowl collection is getting ridiculous) is some honey greek yogurt, 1/3 cup raw oats,  2/3 cup raspberries mashed, a banana and cocao nibs!  Holy swear words Batman this was delicious!

Lunch was pretty darn tasty too…

On the plate is an egg salad open faced sammich with spinach, broccoli, tomato and goat cheese salad and an apple!

For the salad I just drizzled some olive oil, lemon juice and pepper.  DROOL!

Well!  Now I am off to take in my very first SPIN class!  Truth be told I am REALLY nervous about this.  I have no idea what to expect!  EEK!

Have you told YOUR fitness trainer how great they are lately??

So jealous of your zumba class…we have zumba at my gym, but it’s not “super sweat-inducing” if you know what I mean. Ftiness trainers/instructors can make such a huge difference! I think it would be such a rewarding job!

YAY I am so happy Zumba was a complete success :D My gym offers it too, but I think it’s a type of class that I will have to go with a friend to :) Just to make it more fun ;) A little girl’s night or something!

So this would be the breakfast you were telling me about!? :D

    Buying more raspberries!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. I really need to try a zumba class. It sounds like fun! :)

  4. awww schucks. Thanks girl :)

WAHOO! Love that you totally rocked out during the class. Sweat and smile–that is what I tell my classes-that’s what I want from them! I sure do love seeing the people rock out with me–and yes, it totally means I have to bring tons of energy to the table. So luckily I LOVE it. Haha. Some days are harder than others (esp if I am exhausted beyond all reason), but for the most part is a partAY.

Like this morning. After I taught (such a sweaty mess!!), I was dancing and grooving all the way home in my car! hah.
