Getting Ripped

Posted by Katie on Oct 16 2011 at 01:26 pm

Happy Weekend everyone!

It is absolutely gorgeous here!  We had to scrape the frost off of the windows before heading out to the supermarket this morning!

I am finally getting to the point where I can sit down (tonight) and catch up on all of my favourite blogs!  I feel terrible for not commenting as much as often but at the end of the day, life comes first!

We have finally set up our spare bedroom!

OK not completely…We are still looking for a closet organizer which is why we have 50 THOUSAND boardgames on the dresser!

I LOVE the closet…Though it creeps me out…Standing inside the closet with the doors closed, you can see OUT but standing outside of it you can’t see IN.  I’ve seen waaaaaaay too many scary movies ;)

Shoutout to the clock (err….SIDE of the clock that you can see on the left wall).  It was a wedding gift from my mom and dad but we have not been able to use it until now!

We also pulled out a second duvet from the shed!  It’s finally being used!

Also…Jefferson and I, while out yesterday shopping for closet organizers, we ended up at Lowe’s.

I’m going to be honest with you….I almost peed my pants!  I kid you not!  “Why?” You ask….

Well…Jeff found the Christmas stuff, found this singing hippo, immediately turned into a 6 year old, laughed with glee and declared he was taking it to work to sit on his desk.

I was in stitches laughing so hard…Everytime he made the hippo sing he would bust a move….In the middle of Lowe’s on a Saturday night…We are wild I know ;) Click on the “hippo” link on the next line…Jeff taped it singing so you could see what I was in stitches about!

This morning Jefferson and I went to the supermarket to pick up some essentials and then I came home and made THESE!

It’s a whole wheat bran muffin that involves pumpkin and fresh cranberries!  Recipe to come!  SOOOOO yummy!

After the muffins were out of the oven I went downstairs and did a quick workout…

I have recently acquired Jillian Michael’s Ripped in 30 and decided to try out Week 1…OH. MY. GOD.

35-ish minutes and I was thanking my lucky stars the workout was over ;)  I’m so looking forward to building up my progress because evidently I am WEAK.

After the workout I made myself a frozen mixed berry, frozen cranberry, banana, soy milk, spinach, cinnamon, vega chocolate protein powder and agave nectar smoothie…I’m sipping it right now actually!  Yummylicious!

Well now I am off to make some AMAZING hummus (recipe to come!) and perhaps some bean and lentil loaf…A recipe for that may come…The jury is still out though!

Happy Sunday everyone!

I will be visiting your blogs tonight!
