Well folks happy best day of the week!
I’m going to have to TRY and make this short and sweet because my life suddenly got a lot more complicated as of last night! More on that in a minute.
I started my day with a sleep in…Well technically I got up, walked around like 90 year old who just ran a marathon and then went back to lay down in bed to listen to the birds chirp. My legs are sore!! I think it’s a combination of the squats and lunges I did yesterday morning via Pilates AND a hardcore Zumba cardio party I did after work yesterday. You know you’re hurting when it takes you longer to actually get ON the toilet than it does to do your business. Too much information?
Breakfast today was a bowl of shredded wheat and bran spoonfuls, shrivelling blubes and strawbs and a sprinkling of homemade granola.
Lunch was completely a “shamble” as my life is a bit “shambly” right now AND it’s grocery day…
I threw together some kale chips (leftover from last night), corn on the cob(leftover from last night), a piece of homemade whole wheat bread smeared with yucky stale almond butter that’s been in the work fridge since Jesus walked on water (he does that a lot in my life apparently) BECAUSE I forgot to bring some of my freshly made peanut, cashew, almond, flax, coconut butter from Sunday. I was devasted so needless to say that’s why the almond butter didn’t compare. AND some grapes that evidently missed the photo frame on the side. It was a tasting plate and I still enjoyed it but I don’t like it when I cannot put the time and effort into my meals that I normally do. OK I am done whining….in this sentence that is.
After Zumba class TONIGHT(no way I am passing that up!!) I am running to Costco to get a few items and then Jeffersonian and I are going to pick up some groceries…BECAUSE….
Jeff’s sister, her husband, baby AND jack russell terrior will be arriving….Tomorrow. SURPRISE!!
I need to get our house cleaned, somewhat baby and dog proofed AND meals prepped and planned for the weekend.
I took tomorrow off work(a very last minute decision made this morning) and will be going for an early morning run with Janet(as we were planning on going tomorrow night). Rub A535 will be my very best friend tonight and tomorrow that is for sure!! THEN I will be going home to tear down our shed and fence to get ready for Saturday’s events. There’s nothing quite like relieving the pent up rage that I have been carrying around this week…I’m a regular rage-a-holic!
Yes folks, we are in the beginning stages of no longer looking like we live in a trailor park(not that there is anything wrong with that…but at one point we really did have a washer on our deck. And just last week we got rid of the toilet that’s been sitting IN OUR PORCH for 6 months. Yes a toilet. To be more specific a toilet laying on it’s side in a box located right beside our culligan dispenser. I don’t want to talk about it…K?)
Here’s what our backyard looks right this second:
Yes you do in fact see leather chairs and an ugly old BBQ…Just dying to be thrown away!!
And here’s what I’ve been known to look like when we renovate:
Thank you Jeff for taking a wet/dry vac to my drywall dust filled hair…Have you ever tried to untangle back combed hair? That does not even compare to what I had to do…We almost got divorced I kid you not…Oh wait, we weren’t married yet..BUT we were already talking divorce
Do you think I’m ready for my closeup?
My brother in law is going to Bobcat our backyard on Saturday which is why we need the shed and fense destroyed tomorrow. Obviously we are doing this so we don’t have the insane flooding issues that we had this spring…I’m sure you all remember my ranting and stressing over it…AND because we want to enjoy the space we have back there and are finally at the point in our lives where we want to put the effort in.
The next few months will be full of shed building, fence building, house painting and siding and landscaping!
I DO have 2 crockpot chronicle editions planned and really I will be happy to get one made for sure….This really is the perfect opportunity to use a crockpot don’t you think?
OK so much for short and sweet.
What’s your go-to meal/snacks when life throws you curveballs that don’t allow for time consuming planning??
