Crockpot Pulled Chicken!
Oh I am so happy I could do something mildy inappropriate right now! I’m not quite sure what that mildly inappropriate thing is but I’m sure I could do it
Yesterday’s crockpot adventure turned out better than I could have ever hoped! Can you see my happy dance? No? Well here’s what it looks like:

For all you vegetarians reading this post, I’m sorry…This one’s not for you…You see once in a while I have to cook something my husband will eat, otherwise he will hit up a McDonald’s purely out of spite
Time it took to decide to make this-0.2 seconds
Time it took to prepare the sauce-10 minutes
Time it took to cook this-8 hours (I cooked it for 8 because I was at work but it would have been done after 5 hours for sure!)
MY POINT: Tell me you don’t have 10 minutes to prep the sauce, put it in the fridge overnight and pull out 5 chicken boobs to thaw all before you go to bed. If you just said you don’t have 10 minutes, I can see your FLARED NOSTRILS from here!
For the record, this is SO yummy. Jeff’s words AND I KID YOU NOT were “With fresh buns, these would be orgasmic.” There you have it folks! The meat eater is happy.
Serve this pulled chicken on bread/buns, potatoes, etc. Use your imagination!
Crockpot Pulled Chicken
Adapted from Eating Well’s Barbeque Pulled Chicken recipe
8 servings (or less if you’ve got a meat eater that LOVES this recipe
)
Ingredients
*2 cups jarred spaghetti sauce of choice
1/2 cup chopped fresh/canned green chiles (drained)
3 tablespoons vinegar
3 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon Epicure’s Spanish Smoked Paprika
1 tablespoon Epicure’s Barbecue seasoning
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon Epicure’s Cinqo Pepper Blend (or red pepper flakes)
1 small red onion, roughly chopped
1 garlic clove minced
salt to taste
5 boneless, skinless chicken boobs thawed (if frozen)
*Note: In keeping with yesterdays theme, check out the awesome all natural spaghetti sauces that are out there OR have fun creating your own if you want to spend more time in your BEAUTIFUL kitchen!
Directions
Mix all ingredients (except chicken boobs) in a mixing bowl and put in fridge overnight. (If you are slow cooking immediately then just put the sauce in the crockpot).
If you have frozen chicken boobs take them out and thaw them.
In the morning before you go to work (because this is how easy it is folks!) put the chicken boobs in the crockpot, cover with the sauce and mix it all up!
Turn your crockpot on low heat and let cook for 5-8 hours. I personally cooked this meal for 8 hours and the chicken boobs were so moist they were literally falling off the fork!
Once done cooking, pull out the chicken boobs and shred them with 2 forks OR using whatever technique works best for you.
Put the shredded chicken back into the crockpot and mix with the sauce.
ENJOY!
First Step:
Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl and put in fridge for overnight. (If you are slow cooking immediately then just put the sauce in the crockpot).
Second Step:
Once chicken boobs are thawed (or if you are using fresh) put them in the crockpot
Third Step:
Cover chicken boobs with sauce.
Fourth Step:
Mix sauce and chicken boobs together and cook on low heat for 5-8 hours…The longer the better!
Fifth Step:
Once done cooking remove chicken boobs and shred them on a plate using 2 forks.
Sixth Step:
Put the shredded chicken back into the crockpot and stir into sauce.
Jeff ate 4 (yes really 4) buns for supper last night!! Success!
I love classic BBQ. What I love more, lightened up classic BBQ!
Hope you love it as much as Jeff does

You’re hilarious Shannon!
I laugh every time I see the Elaine dance…It’s just so out there!
I love chicken in the crockpot- best invention EVER!! My husband and I have yet to have BBQ chicken in the crockpot though….. thanks for the idea
You must try this! It is out of this world!
Nice boobs (sorry, I had to)…I’ve made something similar before in the slow cooker and I agree with all your comments…tasty, and oh-so-easy!
HA thanks I get that a lot
It’s a keeper!
Food porn for sure! That chicken looks amazing. I love the crock pot- it makes my life so much easier.
It really was incredible!
I totally agree about the crockpot making life much easier…It’s an absolute MUST HAVE appliance as far as I am concerned!
I’m never going to be able to look at chicken breasts the same after this post! I’ve never, ever heard them referred to as boobs!!! This looks like it came out SO well…definitely a “husband pleaser ”
Ha well if you think that is wild…I actually call them chicken tits but I figured people would be less shocked if I called them boobs
That looks so yummy!! I love the idea of using spaghetti sauce as the base for your sauce. I made some chicken in the crockpot yesterday – only cooked it in chicken stock though. We used it for chicken soft tacos!! Delicious!
It was fantastic!
That’s an awesome idea too! MmMm chicken tacos….**DROOL**
